Day 57

11/6/2013

Collaboration Day!!!  Yay!!
That means college and today we talked about my alma mater, San Francisco State University.  I know it doesn't sound like much but I loved it.  I got a degree, a teaching credential and a wife there.  Pretty good deal, don't you think?
When I go on that campus, an unusual phenomenon occurs that probably has happened to you.  I go into the student union and smell the same smells.  Those odors trigger a flood of memories that takes me back to 1983.  What a year! I started dating Jamie and Return of the Jedi came out. 2 great things!  Anyway, the part of the brain that holds these long term memories is right above the cells that detect different odors.  That's why smells can trigger these memory rushes.  Cool, huh?
