Day 73

12/4/2018

I forgot to mention yesterday that it was cool seeing the football team win the section championship. Yup, it was.
The AP Biology students did a couple of things today.  First, we went over the real easy procedure of determining what sequence of amino acids is coded for by a particular strand of DNA. Sounds complicated but it's not.  Probably why all the living organisms on this planet use this system of protein synthesis. we also went over the generalities of the electrophoresis lab which we will do later this week.
The Chemistry students did a couple of practice stoichiometry problems before getting into the next lab, the Stoichiometry Lab. The students will use calculations to predict how much of 2 reactants are required to produce exactly 2.00 grams of a product.  We will work on the specifics of this tomorrow.
