Day 88

1/9/2017

The first Monday of the second semester! Yay! Wow, how was that snow on Saturday? I loved it!
The AP Biology students began the first laboratory exercise of the second semester. The lab elegantly covers the amazing phenomenon of Natural Selection which we will do using sea monkees!  Sea monkees are not like chimps swimming around in scuba gear. No, they are actually shrimp. Brine shrimp to be exact. Nothing against Brine shrimp but chimps with scuba gear sounds way better. And, as you know, chimps are apes!
The Chemistry students worked on some problems involving molarity which is a fancy word that describes the concentration of a particular solution. We also talked about solutions, solutes and solvents. Titrations will begin tomorrow!
