Hey, hey Advisory Day! The first one with the 4th period students which will be way better than before. I am pleased.
The AP Biology, in a sudden reversal of planning, checked out living fruit flies and the mutations that they display. The flies arrived (all the way from North Carolina) on campus at 10:00 so I changed up plans and we were able to complete Activity A in the Genetics of Fruit Flies Lab. We will have to see how long before the new mutant adults emerge from their pupa stage before we complete Activity B.
The Chemistry students went over the easy and thorough rules regarding the construction of Lewis Dot Structures which are the same thing as Electron Dot Diagrams but really are used for molecules instead of atoms. More review later this week. The next exam is right around the corner.
