Let's see....Day 51....that means the school year is 17/60ths of the way complete. Only 43/60ths of the year left!
The AP Biology students went over the beginning of Chapter 15 which really has to do with fruit flies. This one guy, Morgan, studied fruit flies for a super long time and, in doing so, discovered a bunch of stuff. We talked about those discoveries like sex-linkage and crossing over. We also mentioned nondisjunction which can cause a variety of disorders like Down's Syndrome.
The Chemistry students discussed covalent bonding and electron dot diagrams. We did a bunch of practice diagrams using the good ol' periodic table. I think most students thought it was pretty easy which it is. Tomorrow....Lewis Dot Structures!
