Day 14

September in my mind......... isn't that a song? I think it is.  Wait a minute... maybe it isn't. Well, it should be!
The AP Biology students heard me drone on and on about carbohydrates but I seriously make it interesting by throwing cool little tidbits in like termite Mom's puke on their kids or tasting glucose is an interesting experience or lactose-intolerance should not be tolerated (and often isn't which is the third time I have used the word 'isn't' in this blog - and that's the fourth).
The Chemistry students learned more about physical properties and chemical properties. Then we talked about the difference between metals and nonmetals. Then we started a lab exercise where we looked at 7 different elements and examined their physical properties in an effort to determine if they are either a metal or nonmetal.  Tomorrow we will look at the elements' chemical properties.
