Day 6

8/24/2015

The 6th day? That means the school year is already 1/30th of the way done. Wow, it's going by fast.
The AP Biology students continued with the Diffusion and Osmosis Lab today with the "dousing of the potato cores" which is kinda like the running of the bulls only without the animal cruelty and horrific injuries to the participants. We're gonna put the wraps on this lab in the next couple of days.
The Biology students reviewed the Scientific Method by looking at some key terms along with some examples. I had to leave class a little bit today because I was asked by the powers that be (not Yoda) to sign some important documents regarding insurance and stuff.
The Chemistry students continued with the mass and volume section of the Measurement Lab. By learning the intricacies of a graduated cylinder, students will conquer the invading mathematical quandaries of the mind along with knowing what 10 milliliters looks like. We also saw the amazing abilities of 30% hydrogen peroxide.
