The Biology students continued their discussion of macromolecules, those large compounds that are foound in all living things. We talked about proteins and lipids today. We also worked on a practice exam in preparation for the first exam of the year which will take place on Thursday, September 17th. I have attached the PowerPoint for the Chapter 2 and 3 information below. That will probably help a lot for the exam.

The Chemistry students got back the first exam of the year today and we went over it, in detail. Students like Ruben, JoeLyn and Amber were super happy. Others? Not so much. But as is the case for all Chemistry assessments, there will be an opportunity to improve one's grades by re-taking selected Learning Objective assessments beginning this Thursday. We also discussed how big a number like a mole is. We also practiced figuring out the identity of certain isotopes and how to calculate molar mass. Wow, sounds like a busy day.
