The AP Biology students reviewed the material that will be on tomorrow's First AP Biology Exam of the Year! I'm so excited! Well, I don't know about excited. I'm sure the students are excited. Maybe not excited. How about highly concerned with a side of adrenaline.
The Biology students had their first big dose of Button lecture today. Let me tell you, that is quite an experience. If you haven't witnessed the Button lecture before, you should. That guy knows a lot about stuff like simple chemistry that is necessary for a study of life on this planet. Actually, knowledge of chemistry like we talked about today would be useful for a study of life on any planet.
The Chemistry students checked out 7 samples of elements and made some observations concerning said elements. We discussed the characteristics of metals, nonmetals and metalloids. Did you know that nonmetals are not good conductors of heat? I know, right!
